Aqualex gutter protection was designed and developed here in Australia by qualified metallurgists. We put time, energy and money into ensuring our product development included long term trials for exposure, fire testing, design simplification, durability and ease of installation.

Expanded Metal or Diamond Mesh

Expanded metal was invented in 1800s and is still the most common material used for firescreens and spark arrestors. It is strong, durable and widely utilised in both the building and automotive industries for reinforcing, screening and fireproofing. That’s why Aqualex chose diamond mesh for our gutter shield products.

Aluminium –v- Plastic or Steel

Non combustible aluminium gutter shields offer better fire protection, greater durability and longer life than either plastic or steel gutter protection.
Even when treated with a flame retardant, a plastic gutter shield will burn under ember attack. Australian made Aqualex gutter protection is fireproof to 650°C and will not:

• fade
• sag
• become brittle.

Aluminium is much lighter than steel and easy to work with. Coated or uncoated, Aqualex gutter protection is not susceptible to rust and won’t react with Zincalume or other sheet roof metal.

Australian made –v- imported product

Are you getting what you are paying for? Many suppliers have claims of CSIRO test certification and “Fire Rating” for their products, however none of this is true. The test certificates are for mesh, but not for the mesh they are going to put on your roof.  You are being supplied imported materials with no quality certification, coatings that are sub-standard paint instead of powder coat and materials that are so thin that they cannot survive the “product warrantee”.

Fire Testing

Flow Testing

Aqualex gutter protection uses a scientifically formulated diamond mesh design to maximise water flow. It is not just the mesh, it’s the engineering in the design.
